Apprentice Incentive Grant (AIG)
Announced in the May 2, 2006 Federal Budget, the AIG provides a cash grant of $1,000 per year to apprentices in the 1st two years of an apprenticeship program in one of the Red Seal trades (and other economically strategic apprenticeship trades).
The AIG was launched on January 1, 2007 and will exist for a 5-year period.
